English Setter Breeding at Alder Cottage Boarding Kennels.
	At Alder Cottage Kennels, we breed our own English Field Setters on a limited basis. We have a litter once a year and both dam and sire can be viewed. We are careful that all puppies have the best care available and are under constant supervision from birth. All pups are registered with the IKC and adhere to their standards. Our dam is from a line of field trial champions listed with the IKC and the sire is from a line of field champions listed with the American Field Stud. Both pedigree lines are accessible from this web site. Description of the breed: The field setter is bred for his stamina and setting ability. By nature gentle and loving, the English Setter is a devoted dog and can learn to do almost anything his owner wishes. Of all the advice that one might give to any newcomer to the breed, none could be more important than that of affection, as they are of a gentle and loving character. Similarly, you can run several adult dogs and bitches together without fear of a fight. Due to these traits, the English Setter also makes a wonderful family pet and is most tolerant around infants.
